“You don't take a photograph, you make it.” -Ansel Adams
When I work with someone to make an image I want it to be just what they saw in their mind’s eye, only better.
If they don’t know what they want then I help them to see it.

The son of an art teacher and a college professor, Blake got his interest in art and design early in childhood. Accompanying his mother on her weekly trips to the famed Albright–Knox Art Gallery for teaching materials, he and his brother would wander the gallery alone for hours. This exposure led him to develop his eye, and own aesthetic very early in life.
Majoring in photography in high school at The Park School of Buffalo, he began to develop his craft. Unsure where his talents would take him, after high school he worked for a few years in the city of Buffalo, N.Y. for Gold Cross Ambulance.
Blake found the way that most photographers of the day started on their own distasteful —by liberating clients from those whom had given others a break.
Starting college a bit later then his peers, he was selected for an internship at Walt Disney World. Before and after graduating college he cultivated a working relationship with Disney that continued for some 8 years.
Moving back to Buffalo from Florida, he found his way back to photography. Blake set up his own studio in 2007, and focused on aesthetically driven visual storytelling.
More recently, Blake has been working with top realtors in Western New York photographing properties for sale. He is always excited when projects allow him to meet new people and travel to new places.
